Really, how many times must we show that being armed beats not being armed?
This is an odd story because usually this kind of stuff does not make the news unless someone is shot at. Glad the criminals thought twice and left.

We’re always being told by anti-gunners that us lowly civilians can never obtain the Jedi like mastery of firearms that police and military have and that if we choose to have a firearm for self defense then we’re more likely to have the gun taken away from us by a criminal and shot with it.
But I never hear any stories to corroborate this claim.
On the other hand I’m always reading stories like this one.
Getting shot at will tend to disuade some criminals.
